Crystal Caverns: Glamour Gulch - Unlocking the Magic
After completing Cruella's quest, "The Skunk Rebellion," you'll obtain the second Crystal Key, which triggers Tinker Bell's quest in the Wishblossom Heart. It's time to embark on a journey to find the missing horses and help Tinker Bell!
This quest not only challenges your horse-riding skills but also puts your puzzle-solving abilities to the test. You'll need to navigate through various areas, interact with levers, and use your horses' unique abilities to progress.
Step 1: Deliver the Crystal Key to Tinker Bell
Find Tinker Bell in the Wishblossom Heart, where you previously completed the first cavern trial. She's waiting by the steps near the Hope Wishblossom. Give her the red, octagonal-shaped Crystal Key, and she'll lead you to the entrance of Glamour Gulch Crystal Cavern.
Step 2: Enter the Second Crystal Cavern
Follow Tinker Bell to the cavern entrance and talk to her again. She'll create a set of stairs, revealing the entrance to the second Crystal Cavern. Enter the cavern and prepare for an exciting adventure!
Knowing how to switch horses is crucial here. You'll need to summon or switch to Maximus to solve puzzles and navigate through different areas. On PC, press 'N' to access the horse selection menu and choose your steed wisely.
Step 3: Lower the Elevator Platform
Inside the cavern, you'll encounter an elevator platform blocking your path. To progress, you must lower it. Here's how:
- Interact with the lever on the wooden post while riding Maximus to pick up the scent trail.
- Follow the trail of red smoke to find the lever handle on the ground.
- Return to the lever and interact with it to transfer the handle from your inventory.
- Use the handle to lower the platform, creating a path for Maximus to leap across the gap.
Step 4: Remove Decay Crystals Affecting the Wishblossom
As you progress, you'll encounter the Ambition Wishblossom, but it's unable to speak due to Decay Crystals at its roots. Your mission is to remove these crystals and help the Wishblossom regain its voice.
There are three Decay Crystals to destroy, each located in different areas:
- Pink Area: Head past the drawbridge and find the cluttered elevator. Raise the platform and jump across the gap to reach the Decay Crystal.
- Green Area: Jump back over the gap and enter the tunnel with green leaves. Move the stone block and open the optional chest to find the Regal Saddle Blanket. Solve the pressure plate puzzle to open the door and destroy the Decay Crystal inside.
- Blue Area: After collecting the lever handle, jump back across the gap and follow the scent trail to the Blue Area entrance. Lower the drawbridge using the lever handle and proceed to the main puzzle area. Solve the puzzle by interacting with the water and using your horses' abilities to reach and destroy the final Decay Crystal.
Step 5: Talk to the Ambition Wishblossom and Exit the Cavern
With all three Decay Crystals destroyed, you can now talk to the Ambition Wishblossom. As a reward, it returns the next unlockable horse - Khan! Khan's special ability is breaking barricades, which will come in handy as you exit the cavern.
Ride Khan up the steps and destroy the wooden barricades to clear the path. Follow the path, destroying more barriers, until you reach the cavern exit.
Exiting the Crystal Cavern brings you back to the Wishblossom Heart, where you can share your adventures with Tinker Bell. After completing this quest, you'll automatically unlock the next Wishblossom Ranch Story Quest, "Bounce Up, Never Down!"
